Our current store hours are:

Wednesday - Saturday from 12pm-5pm and Sunday from 12pm-4pm.

The Christ Child Society Opportunity Shop is high-end consignment store that has been at this location since 1933, and we sell a variety of items at every price point. The Christ Child Society Opportunity Shop can market and sell a variety of items for you. The commission rate for consigned property is as follows: the consignor receives a commission rate of 50% for property with a final sales price less than $500 and 60% for property with a final sales price equal to or greater than $500.

Currently we are looking for the following items: Designer accessories, handbags & scarves, Herend china, fine crystal such as Steuben, Baccarat, and Waterford, sterling silver, precious jewelry, and fine china & tea sets. We may also consider original artwork, Asian porcelain and artwork, lighting (lamps, chandeliers) Continental, English, and American Antiques (17th, 18th, 19th, and early 20th century), good furniture such as Baker, Henredon, Potthast…and so much more. All items must be floor ready and in desirable condition and quality for resale. The Shop reserves the right to accept or decline any item for any reason.

The Shop will only consider items initially valued at $50 and above for consignment. Any items under $50 will be considered for donation and the donor will receive a tax receipt.

Based on the above criteria, please send photos of your items and any additional information that you might have such as the condition, age or maker of the item to opshop@christchilddc.org. We will review the photos and inform you of which items we feel that we are able to consign. No more than a total of 20 items per consignment appointment will be accepted. If you wish to consign over 20 pieces, another appointment will need to be scheduled at a later date.

If you are interested in consigning furniture, please be sure to send photographs with a brief description of each piece in advance. Furniture consignments are based on current store space and MUST be approved and scheduled prior to being brought to the shop!

All consignment appointments are curbside drop-offs only. You may pull up to the front door and we can assist you with unloading your items. Please clearly label all consignment boxes with your name & phone number. If you have any research on the items, or suggested pricing you may include this with your merchandise. Please do not bring any unapproved items with you for your consignment appointment, specifically furniture. No damaged items will be accepted.

If you are a new consignor, please remember to bring a signed consignor contract with you. (Click here for Consignment Form) On the back of the sheet please list your name, address, phone number and e-mail. This will allow us to enter you into the system as a consignor. We will process your consignment within the day and will e-mail you your receiving documents.

The Shop is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of consigned property (property that is currently in the consignment period is considered property of the consignor – not the Shop).

Thank you,

Op Shop Team
