Part-time/Bilingual School Social Worker

About this Role

We are looking for exceptional and highly committed social workers to work with school partners in the DC area. The School Social Worker will provide school counseling services for elementary and middle school level students. For this role, a LGSW required and a LICSW is preferred. Applicants must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and have experience working with children in a school setting. The position is part-time and follows a late August to mid-June school schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • LGSW Required (LICSW preferred)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience working with children in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit sound judgement in decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the CCS mission of meeting the emotional and educational needs of children in the Washington, DC area.

Temporary (3-4 months) School Social Worker

About this Role

The School Social Worker will provide school counseling services for elementary level students. For this role, an LGSW is required and an LICSW is preferred. Applicants must have experience working with children in a school setting.

This position is a full-time (40 hours/week), temporary engagement, spanning (approx.) from August 1 to the end of October, 2019. Hours are 8 am – 4 pm Monday-Friday.

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience working with children in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit sound judgement in decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the CCS mission of meeting the emotional and educational needs of children in the Washington, DC area.
